The OVBL recently announced that it's main season wil be February - May 2013. Several factors played a part in the decision.
Two more franchise teams are joining the league this season and they will be ready to play by February.
This additional time for television production and stats training on the new systems implemented this season will be extremely helpful.
And the Marketing teams can accomodate major sponsors who make their decisions in January for the entire year who they will sponsor and advertise with.
Non League and pre-season games will be conducted in January 2013.

NEW YORK BECOMES FOURTH STATE FOR OVBL
The Buffalo Blue Hawks will join the OVBL as a franchise team for the upcoming 2013 season. Franklin Jackson ( Picture on Left ) of Buffalo New York is the latest franchise owner under the OVBL.
Mr. Jackson is securing venues and has established a competitive team to play in the 2013 season.
Another Franchise team will be announced in Ohio soon.

OVBL DROPS GAME AT THE Q TO INCREASE EXPOSURE
The OVBL secured a free spot ( minus hotel accomodations ) for all OVBL players who play at least 11 OVBL games this season in the upcoming Aspire International Pro Basketball Showcase held in Columbus, Ohio in June 2013.
"Instead of one game at Quicken Loans, a spot in the showcase far outweighs any exposure gained at the "Q" said the OVBL Commissioner recently".
This decision was also made due to new Franchise teams entering the OVBL late this season in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. The OVBL will have an odd number of teams that cannot all play in one day at quicken loans arena.
The showcase normally costs local players $350.00 and out of town players $450.00 to participate. The showcase is currently viewed by more than 18,000 euroleague teams worldwide.

WASHINGTON PA WARRIORS GETTING IT TOGETHER
New Franchise owner Keving Brown of Washington Pennsylvania is getting the Warriors' Franchise in place just in time for the 2013 season.
The Warrior team has been put together, venues are being secured, and the Warrioirs look to be scheduled soon.
This makes the second team for Pennsylvania and is a great addition to the OVBL and the National umbrella being formed for next year.
